Dr.M.E. Themens(Charlo NB)Veterinarian/Practice owner
Obtained her degree in Agriculture in 1978 from McGill University and her DVM from l’Université de Montréal in 1982. Opened the Dalhousie practice in 1983, and has a particular interest in sled dogs.
Chairing several professional committees, she has served 5 terms as president of the provincial veterinary association and participated on its council for 21 years. A founding member of the Restigouche County SPCA, she remains on the Board as an advisor. She shares her life with Kavik, Naniuk, Nushka, Oomiq and M.J, two sons, Paul-André and David and is the proud grandmother of Madison Marie.
Arlene Vautour(Campbellton/Tide Head NB)Office Manager
Arlene joined the team in 2001 and is a valued member, coordinating scheduling and maintaining organization. She has 3 dogs, Kopper, Millie and Sadie and is the proud grandmother of Olivia and her little brother, Alec.
Brandie Hickey(Dalhousie/Lorne NB)Registered VeterinaryTechnician
Joining the team in 2011, Brandie is functions in many capacities, and is particularly adept in surgical anaesthesia maintenance. Mother of two sons, Logan and Aiden, she also has multiple animals including Pandora the “pitty”.
Linda Aubie(Beresford NB)Reception/Assistant
Certified in sterilization, she assists in instrument preparation as well as handling reception. Her four legged friend is named “Lucky” and is a two year old Pyranees-Golden pup.
Sonia Couture(Pointe Verte NB)Registered Veterinary Technician
A graduate of the three-year technician program at Collège LaFlèche and a ten year veteran in the profession before joining us in 2013. Sonia is the proud mother of Elodie and Zak. Her four-legged kids include two dogs and three cats.
Lynn MalleyVeterinary Assistant
O’Malley has been an integral part of our team since 2004 and is known for her multitasking and 'can do” attitude. Her household includes two horses, multiple dogs, cats, and one hubby “Morris”.
Rachel MutchVeterinary Assistant/Reception
Rachel joined us from the Restigouche County SPCA earlier this year. She is passionate about animal welfare and has opened her home to several rescues. A mother of two girls, and married to Titus, a dairy farmer, she is a valued addition to our crew.
Adam joined us as a summer student and is hoping to further a career in veterinary medicine . He is currently a student at Dalhousie University (NSAC) and has a desire to practice rural medicine.
Ms Miller joined us after working in the human healthcare setting for many years as well as at the Restigouche County SPCA. A steady hand, she assists in multiple facets of patient care.
